Where love meets light
I am Nicole, a Cape Town-born content creator now based in London. My mom used to tell me with a laugh when I was younger that I needed to figure out what I wanted to do; that I could not just exist on love and fresh air alone. But Lumaire is proof that maybe, just maybe, I found a way to weave those dreams into reality.
If I could live on love and fresh air, I would. My work lives in the space between a daydream and a memory; capturing love stories and brand narratives across the world with a focus on authenticity over perfection. I believe that the smallest moments often hold the greatest magic, and if you value the unscripted beauty of a day, I think we will get along beautifully.
How it all began
I grew up in Cape Town, a city where the ocean meets the mountain and the light does something extraordinary at every turn. On those coastal shores, I learned to see beauty everywhere: in the way the golden hour paints a mountain, the way waves catch the light, and the way the sun sets on the horizon every evening. That is where my love for capturing what is beautiful first began.
Life took me to Thailand for six years, where I learned that true richness is not about things; it is about the people you surround yourself with, the experiences that fill your soul, and the love that transforms a space. Eventually, I found my way to London, where I built my career in marketing and social media.
A Love Letter to the Moment
In late July 2022, beneath the Greek sun in Kefalonia, I said my vows on the beach. It was a dreamy, boho celebration where the ceremony kissed the shoreline and our reception overlooked the glistening Mediterranean. It was magic unfolding in golden hour light.
While I had an incredible videographer and photographer, I found myself afterwards creating my own little reels from their content. I loved those small, emotional clips that captured feelings, not just formalities. The way the light danced on the water; the tears that caught the sunset; the laughter that rippled through the evening air. I realised then that these were the moments people want to hold onto… the quiet knowing that usually goes unseen. Years passed, but that fire to create something that showcased love the way I saw it would not let me go. And so, Lumaire was born.

The Name, The Light
Lumaire itself is a love letter to everything that drives me. The ‘L’ stands for love. The word sounds like light, and so much of what I do is chasing it: the soft blush of morning, the fiery drama of a sunset, those in-between moments when everything glows. The ‘air’ is woven in too, as a quiet nod to that impossible dream of living on love and fresh air.
From Cape Town’s coastal light to Thailand’s golden sunsets, and London’s soft grey skies, I have spent my life chasing beauty across continents. That perspective lives in every frame I capture.
What I create
As a creator with a background in marketing and social media, I understand how to craft content that captures the heart and stirs genuine emotion. Beyond the aesthetics, I look for moments that usually go unseen: the quiet tears, the stolen glances, and the exhale before the kiss. I take a social-first approach because I understand what makes people stop, feel, and share.
I work with couples and brands who value authenticity over perfection. Every story carries a unique constellation of moments worth telling; I am simply here to notice the details that others might miss.
My Purpose
