I’m from Cape Town, South Africa. A city where the ocean meets the mountain and the light does something magical at every turn. Growing up on those coastal shores, I learned to see beauty everywhere. The way golden hour painted Table Mountain, the way waves caught the light, the way the sun set on the horizon every evening. That’s where my love for capturing what’s beautiful first began.

Life took me to Thailand for six years, where I learned that richness isn’t about things; it’s about the people you surround yourself with, the experiences that fill your soul, the love that transforms a room. Then to London, where I built my career in marketing and social media. And finally, in late July 2022, beneath the Greek sun in Kefalonia, my husband’s grandfather’s birthplace, we said our vows on the beach. A dreamy, boho celebration where the ceremony kissed the shoreline and our reception overlooked the glistening Mediterranean. It was magic unfolding in golden hour light.

I had an incredible videographer and photographer capturing it all, but afterward, I found myself creating my own little reels from their content. Small, emotional clips that captured feelings, not just moments. The way light danced on water. The tears that caught the sunset. The laughter that rippled through the evening air. I loved them. I thought, “I would want these.” But I didn’t dare believe anyone else would.

Years passed, but that quiet knowing wouldn’t let me go… this pull, this fire to create something that showcased love the way I see it. And so, Lumaire was born.
